Project Manager: Job Details
A Midlands Main Contractor is currently seeking to add a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager to its team, working in the New Build Housing division. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a focused site-based team to deliver properties o a high quality standard and have overall responsibility for site management duties. This will include management of all direct and indirect staff, health and safety, QC and QA and be commercially and contractually aware. This role will be responsible for regular reporting of project status internally and externally, and the successful person will need to have an excellent client manner. They will also need to be comfortable liaising with statutory bodies, the design team, and other site and non-site based disciplines.
Particular candidate requirements included:
* Very good understanding of the build process and strong contractual knowledge of th various contract forms used in the industry.
* Experience as Project Manager on housing contracts in the social housing sector and has a proven track record working with the public
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to represent the company's ideals and images well in open meetings
* Reliability, discretion, diplomacy, fair-minded and able to react well to a changing environment.
