Business Development Manager: Job Details
A Business Development Manager with main building contractor experience is required to join the Manchester office of a national contractor. The role will involve significant networking time, both face-to-face and over the phone, and requires a candidate who enjoys travelling around the region and meeting new and existing clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and maximizing business opportunities in the £10m + building range and have be organized and efficient enough to be able to manage their own time away from the office environment.
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Business Development Manager is seen as a key role in the organization and requires someone with a stable background ideally in a similar setting. It is likely the successful candidate will, upon taking up the role, spend over 70% of the working week out in the market, working face-to-face with clients and generating tenders against a pre-arranged target.
