Senior Estimator: Job Details
A contractor's senior level estimator, ideally degree-qualified in a related discipline, is required to join a family-run main contractor in Lancashire. The scope of responsibility will include pricing tender enquiries from drawings, drawings and spec, and bills of quantities; achieving settlement with the Commercial Manager; hand-over meetings with Construction Team; attend client meetings as required and all duties generally associated with the role. Works will range from £20k to £4m with emphasis on internal refurbishment. The company enjoys relationships with North West local authorities, regional police forces, government bodies and private clients and is active in a variety of sectors of the build industry.
The successful candidate will be familiar tendering under a variety of procurement methods including traditional tendering, D&B, Two-Stage Tendering, Partnering Frameworks and Negotiation and also be familiar with various forms of construction contract such as Minor Works, JCT Intermediate and Private Form, GC Works, PPC2000 and NEC. Computer literacy is essential, including Excel and Word from the MS Office suite, and ideally the successful candidate will be very familiar with the Conquest estimating software package.
