Senior Estimator: Job Details
A Senior Estimator with significant main contractor experience is required to join a divisional team, based in Birmingham, to focus on winning work primarily in the fast-track fit-out arena and on complex city-based schemes up to £10m. The successful candidate will need to be able to produce tenders for schemes up to £10m, utilising all commonly used contract types, while being equally comfortable and effective on smaller schemes with a faster turnaround. This is a role for a proactive estimator with a can-do attitude who enjoys taking the lead.
The main duties of the role include but are not limited to:
* Liaison wih the client and managing a client relationship
* Management enquiries for specialist subcontractor and supply
* Preparation of analytical estimates using Causeway estimating software
* Production of Bills of Quantities for plan and specification/ design build tenders.
* Costing prelims.
* Tender adjudication.
* Liaison with design team members.
* Preparation of detailed information for hand over to production teams for successful tenders.
