Senior Estimator: Job Details
The Birmingham office of a national contractor is currently seeking to enhance its work-winning ability with the addition of a Senior Estimator to its team. The successful candidate will have a stable track record of successful tendering within a Top 20 main contractor setting and have worked on tenders for schemes from £5- £50m. The role requires a strong, professional team player
Key abilities for the role include the ability to:
* produce accurate prime costings
* maintain cost data
* co-ordinate the tender process
* develop relationships with design consultants, clients, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers
* identify areas of risk and opportunity
The estimator will be expected to have a sound knowledge of competitors in the regional marketplace, have good IT skills and a good level of technical expertise, as well as being a solid team player with a flexible attitude and the ability to work successfully to deadline.
