M&E Design Manager: Job Details
An experienced M & E Manager is required for work on a major education project in Cheshire, initially on a temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent role in the near future. Working for and reporting to the main contractor, the M&E Manager will need to be an adept relationship builder as he or she will work closely with the school's head teacher in agreeing achievable targets for works to be carried out and then delivering on them. The M&E manager will therefore need to be very comfortable in a client-facing role and count tact and diplomacy among their key skills, in addition to a proven ability to deliver on promises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all drawings are correct and distributed appropriately, and also be assured in managing the commissioning process.
The ideal candidate for this role would have a sound academic background and a strong knowledge of managing complex M&E issues. Experience of large education projects would be preferable although a background managing M&E matters in large highly serviced buildings would also be considered favourably.
The company is one of the UK's leading construction services organisations.
