Operations Manager: Job Details
The North West office of a main contractor is currently seeking an Operations Manager to fulfil a key role in winning and managing work. The company is very active in both the health and retail sectors and the successful candidate will have a proven track record of work winning in one or both, and knowledge of the P21 procurement route for publicly-funded work would be seen as hugely advantageous. The Operations Manager will be a cradle-to-grave role, managing construction schemes from enquiry through to handover and requires a candidate with a sound technical building knowledge as well as bid experience, and an excellent client-facing manner is essential.
The company operates nationally from regionally offices and its northern regional turnover is circa £100m annually. The company focuses very keenly on the client experience and operates in a non-confrontational manner, preferring to form lasting partnerships than one-off relationships. Projects are up to £40m but typically in the £5m-£15m range.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Construction or Operations Manager to join a growing region of a national contractor and bring their experience and influence to bear on the company's development. Applications are sought and it is expected this role will be keenly contested.
