I have worked in the field of construction recruitment for over 30 years and belive I have a strong knowledge base and powerful network within the construction sector. I have recruited some of today's industry leaders, including Regional Directors of major contractors and developers and there are many more that I have represented on their way to the top. My drive is to create value for jobseekers and employers alike through an informed and honest service. I naturally recruit people that share my values and I am lucky to have a team of people that have shown consistency, integrity. I predominantly involved with temporary recruitment from trades and labour, engineering, and management roles. I am very involved in the day-to-day running of the business, and I am passionate about service delivery based on strong market knowledge and honesty.Prior to Harvey Lawrence, I had a long term management career within the hospitality sector where I managed a major events and wedding venue, before running my own business. It was during these years that I learnt the importance of good customer service provision and building long-term relationships.I believe clients put their trust in me as I always go the extra mile and pride myself on being honest in all my communications. I am responsible for the recruitment of temporary management and technical disciplines for contractors and developers. I recruit for roles such as site engineers, site managers, project managers, design managers, bid managers, planners and quantity surveyors throughout the North West and Midlands. Prior to Harvey Lawrence, I spent seven years in loss adjusting, two of these included working in Australia alongside a structural engineer. This role involved organising projects and gave me a good overall understanding of the construction sector and working to tight deadlines. I feel this experience has proven to be invaluable because I am able to work under pressure and produce fast results.What I like about working at Harvey Lawrence is not only the excellent rapport we have with our candidates and clients, but that I can make a valued contribution to a business where my own ideas are welcomed.

I have nine years' experience in recruitment and training within construction. I'm now in my seventh year with Harvey Lawrence and am responsible for the recruitment of permanent staff for the Manchester and Midlands areas for building contractors and developers. Roles I recruit for include quantity surveyors, site and project managers, design, bid and planning managers.What motivates me is finding the best available opportunities for the candidates that I represent and helping clients add value to their business by attracting the best talent. I adopt a detailed approach to the recruitment process and always look to give informed and honest advice. I am responsible for payroll and compliance which involves extensive checking and reporting. Compliance and reporting has been the mainstay of my experience, both in the UK and Australia. Originally from the West Midlands, I returned home from Australia in 2018 and joined Harvey Lawrence. I was attracted to the business as it was clear to me that compliance is considered a priority and I felt the role would be well-suited to my skillsets. My time in Australia has given me a more rounded experience of business, particularly in terms of learning to work with Government state regulations in a different continent.
