I truly believe that our recruitment expertise within the build sector in the North West market is unparalleled. We launched our Midlands operation in 2009 and we have set the same standards here and built the same robust relationships. I have a lead role in the development of our Midlands office and I oversee our temporary division across both white and blue-collar disciplines for contractors and developers. I am involved with the recruitment of site engineering and management roles through to trades and labour. I am very involved in the day-to-day running of the business and I am passionate about service delivery based on strong market knowledge and honesty. Prior to Harvey Lawrence, I had a long term management career within the hospitality sector where I managed a major events and wedding venue, before running my own business. It was during these years that I learnt the importance of good customer service provision and building long-term relationships. Senior Recruitment Consultant
I am responsible for the recruitment of temporary management and technical disciplines for contractors and developers. I recruit for roles such as site engineers, site managers, project managers, design managers, bid managers, planners and quantity surveyors throughout the North West and Midlands. I joined Harvey Lawrence five years ago and during that time I have built really good relationships with clients and candidates. They often come to me as a first port of call because they know that I am experienced and honest in what I do. Prior to Harvey Lawrence, I spent seven years in loss adjusting, two of these included working in Australia alongside a structural engineer. This role involved organising projects and gave me a good overall understanding of the construction sector and working to tight deadlines. I feel this experience has proven to be invaluable because I am able to work under pressure and produce fast results. I am based in our Midlands office and work closely with our North West team. I have seven years' experience in recruitment and training within construction. I'm now in my fifth year with Harvey Lawrence and am responsible for the recruitment of permanent staff for the Manchester and Midlands areas for building contractors and developers. Roles I recruit for include quantity surveyors, site and project managers, design, bid and planning managers. What motivates me is finding the best available opportunities for the candidates that I represent and helping clients add value to their business by attracting the best talent. I oversee our accounts, payroll and administration functions which involves detailed reporting and analysis. I work within a busy team where there are constant deadlines and strict standards to meet. What I like most about my role is the variety and challenge. My entire career has been within finance and administration in a variety of business sectors, so I am well-versed in accounts packages and payroll functions. Compliance and Payroll Manager
I am responsible for payroll and compliance which involves extensive checking and reporting. Compliance and reporting has been the mainstay of my experience, both in the UK and Australia. Originally from the West Midlands, I returned home from Australia in 2018 and joined Harvey Lawrence. I was attracted to the business as it was clear to me that compliance is considered a priority and I felt the role would be well-suited to my skillsets. My time in Australia has given me a more rounded experience of business, particularly in terms of learning to work with Government state regulations in a different continent.
