*You will be proactive in developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships
*Order materials required for projects in accordance with established prices ensuring requirements for quality and lead times are met
*Undertake pricing negotiation with suppliers in accordance with buying procedures
*Have good understanding of market conditions
*Develop close working relationships with the wider team and assist with obtaining prices and supplier knowledge.
*Obtaining quotations from existing approved suppliers
*Source new or alternative products and liaise and negotiate with both new and existing suppliers when required
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of buying within the construction industry and will have good attention to detail.
Someone who is flexible and adaptable who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexibly to meet project deadlines.
Be able to demonstrate initiative, good at problem solving and prioritisation of workload.
Be a team player and can build strong relationships with supplies and fellow team members.
