Commercial Manager - North West - leading contractor in the residential market with live projects currently at £240m+, you will be joining a contractor who is redefining the skyline of both Liverpool and Manchester

The Opportunity

As Commercial Manager, you will be joining a dynamic close-knit team who are currently working on a number of live projects circa £240m+. With further projects due to go live in 2020, this is an opportunity that will see you managing a number of projects circa £100m with the opportunity to build a strong commercial team under you. This opportunity will see you contributing directly to the redefinition of the skyline in the Liverpool and Manchester areas.

The Role and Responsibilities

As Commercial Manager, you will have full commercial responsibility for residential projects in and around the Liverpool and Manchester areas reporting to the Commercial Director. You will have previous experience of leading a team of Surveyors at all levels and of managing a number of projects concurrently circa £40m+.

You will be experienced in resolving contractual and commercial problems, offering direction and instruction to members of your team, be experienced in risk assessment, ensure that the financial aspects are monitored at all times and oversee financial KPIs.

Known for their staff retention, they are looking for a Commercial Manager who is confident in their ability who can provide support for the commercial team as well as mentoring for junior team members.

Skills and Experience

Ideally Degree educated
Main contractor background working on projects in excess of £40m
Strong educational background with strong commercial awareness
Clear and concise communication skills
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software
Strong analytical skills
Client liaison
Attention to detail
