Senior Commercial Manager - Midlands - Opportunity to join a successful region turning over in excess of £200m managing your own prestigious major high-rise residential project in the heart of the City Centre

As Senior Commercial Manager you will be joining an established and respected family business that has been trading in excess of 150 years. With regional businesses throughout the UK, you will be joining a multi-disciplined company with a proven successful track record of delivering large complex projects throughout the UK.

The Opportunity:

As Senior Commercial Lead you will head the team on a prestigious major new build residential project in the city centre which will be one the region's largest schemes.

You will ideally have experience of delivering major high-rise residential projects previously leading and supporting a site based team of Surveyors. Mentoring junior members as and where necessary you will manage the preparation of Cost Plans using a range of cost planning techniques and software, manage the compilation of data, prepare cash forecasts and manage the risk and commercial outcome of the project leading effectively and ensuring strong lines of communication across the commercial site team.

Skills and Experience:

Experience gained within a similar business / role with a strong background of working with JCT design and build contracts.
You will bring knowledge and expertise to this role demonstrating skills and the ability to take control of all commercial aspects of the project.
You will have the ability and skills to work at the forefront in a client facing role, be personable with the ability to build on current relations as well as the internal commercial team.
Ideally Degree educated.
Main contractor background working on projects in excess of £100m.
Have strong commercial awareness with clear and concise communication skills.
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software.
