Estimator - Regional Main Contractor - North West - New opportunity available due to an increased and growing workload

Having a strong reputation in the North West for delivering projects on time and to a high standard, this established contractor is looking to further expand their existing North West team.

The Opportunity

As Estimator, you will be joining a company that has been trading in excess of 100 years and who continue to show stable growth year on year through structured expansion. Known for winning repeat business from sectors including Commercial, Education, Health, Residential and Sports & Leisure you will working within a team that are currently reviewing a number of tenders and with further projects due to commence shortly, this is an opportunity to join a brand that is recognised and known for its staff retention.

Skills & Experience

This role would be suited to an experienced Estimator coming from a main contractor background within the construction industry. As Estimator you will have the ability to balance multiple proposals and estimations at once and estimate the cost of projects and determine the contractual, financial, technical and operational risks, finding opportunities to reduce and minimise risk whilst always ensuring you are using every opportunity to increase and maximise profit. You will interpret drawings and bills of quantities, contact suppliers for prices of materials and products and generate quotations. You will liaise with the sales team regarding details and submissions and manage throughout the pricing and tendering process.

Essential:
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Good writing and maths skills
*Good understanding and working knowledge of Conquest and proficient IT skills
*Positive attitude and a drive to secure contracts for the company
