The Opportunity

This is an ambitious building contractor and they are winning work in the Midlands for this reason they wish to strengthen the current commercial team by inviting an Intermediate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing division. This contractor will give you responsibility but at the same time ensure you are supported, they are looking for a competent Assistant level or Intermediate level quantity Surveyor that can contribute to the projects they work on which are valued from £6m to £15m in the industrial, commercial and educational sector.

Joining this contractor, you will be working under the guidance of a Senior Commercial Manager who you will report to and who will offer you support and plenty of opportunity. You will gain lots of exposure and valuable knowledge working in this team as they will continually help develop your career and give you opportunities. You will be based in our clients brand new offices in Warwickshire with occasional site visits, so being able to drive is essential.

Skills & Experience

This role will suit a career driven individual who is looking to gain further experience working alongside a commercial lead. Someone who is looking to take on further development and work hard to drive their career. Ideal candidates will have worked within a main contractor or subcontractor in the construction industry in a similar position within the commercial team. Our client is looking for someone with around 4 years' experience, whether that be on day release and attending university or practical experience. The successful candidate must also be able to hit the ground running when it comes to sub-contract package management. You must have a good understanding of this and be able to take control.
