Project Commercial Manager with ref.

Newly created Commercial Manager opportunity joining an expanding contractor with a strong foothold in the high rise residential market. Taking the commercial lead role on a new build residential project with values up to £100m.

The Opportunity

As Commercial Manager, you will be joining a dynamic close-knit team who are currently working on a number of phased high rise residential projects valued at circa £100m+. With a strong workload in 2020 with new projects starting throughout the year and the next 4 years of work secured. This is an opportunity that will see you managing a circa £100m project with the opportunity to step up to Senior Commercial Manager taking control of multiple major projects, leading the commercial team. This opportunity will see you contributing directly to the redefinition of the skyline in the Liverpool and Manchester areas.

As Commercial Manager, you will have full commercial responsibility for residential projects in and around the Liverpool and Manchester areas reporting to the Commercial Director. You will have previous experience of leading a team of Surveyors at all levels and of managing projects of circa £40m+. You will be experienced in resolving contractual and commercial problems, offering direction and instruction to members of your team, be experienced in risk assessment, ensure that the financial aspects are monitored at all times and oversee financial KPIs. Known for their staff retention, they are looking for a Commercial Manager who is confident in their ability who can provide support for the commercial team as well as mentoring for junior team members.

Skills and Experience

This role will suit someone coming from a main contractor background leading projects in excess of £40m. This role will see you leading the commercial team and as such our client is looking for someone who has clear and concise communication skills. In this role you will also be working closely with key clients and as such we are looking for a candidate who is happy working as client liaison, building on the existing relationships.
