Having a strong reputation in the North West for delivering projects on time and to a high standard, this established contractor is looking to further expand their existing North West team. With further project awards anticipated, this is an opportunity to join a contractor that has a clear line of sight on their current and future workstream including residential, Extra Care, high-rise and social/affordable housing.
The Role and Responsibilities
As Project Manager you will be working on a residential development circa £28-30m where you will be reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager. You will ideally have Tier 1 main contractor experience and have worked on projects including residential, affordable housing and leisure. In addition, you will ideally have experience of working on high-rise projects although this is not essential.
As Project Manager, you will have a proven ability to lead and co-ordinate all project activities ensuring that all project deliverables are achieved with regard to safety, quality, program and have a good eye for commercials. An ability to "lead from the front" is essential providing support and mentoring where required to junior members of the team thereby ensuring the continued development of the business with a strong site team to build lasting relationships with site staff and clients alike.
Further duties will include attending and chairing client and project meetings, maintaining contact and a good working relationship with all on site, monitoring and reporting on budgets, delays and holdups on a regular and detailed level to senior management with the ability to recognise and close out any issues quickly and effectively.
Skills and Experience
First Aid certificate
The ability to travel as and when required
Experience of having worked for a Tier 1 contractor previously
