Newly established position - Project Manager - Tier 1 Main Contractor - Workstream secured with further projects due to commence shortly in the East Midlands area.

A newly created opportunity with a leading main contractor in the East Midlands area. You will be taking the lead role on projects from circa £10m+ and will be responsible for managing the project team through a successful delivery.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, you will be joining this established contractor working with new and existing clients helping to secure further contracts in the education, leisure, commercial and accommodation sectors that will encompass both new build and major refurbishment projects. You will be taking the lead role from preconstruction to onsite delivery and handover further promoting and establishing long-term lasting client relationships.

Skills & Experience

Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager, this role is suited to an experienced Project Manager with a proven ability to lead and co-ordinate all project activities ensuring all deliverables are achieved with regard to safety, quality, program and have a good eye for commercials.

You will be attending and chairing client and project meetings, maintaining contact and a good working relationship with the clients, monitoring and reporting on budgets, delays and holdups on a regular basis to senior management with the ability to recognise and close out any issues quickly and effectively. You will be experienced in allocating and manging resources, programme and ensuring that all H&S legislation is complied with.

* Ideally come from a main contractor background having worked in a similar role previously.
* You will be IT literate with good clear written and oral communication skills.
