**New Opportunity** Project Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham - National Main Contractor working on a diverse portfolio encompassing Commercial, Education, Defence contracts and Frameworks

Working with an established contractor with a successful longstanding history, you will be joining a creative, innovative and multi-disciplined company with a successful track record of delivering high profile projects for both public and private sector clients.

Working on a diverse range of projects including Leisure, Fitout, New Build as well as refurbishment, this is an opportunity to join a contractor with a secured workload who is in an excellent position for attaining their growth expectation in 2022.

The Opportunity

As Project Quantity Surveyor this role will see you either leading a smaller size project of circa £2m+ reporting to a visiting Managing Surveyor or working as a No.2 on larger schemes. This opportunity will give you the ability to use the skills you have whilst increasing your knowledge base and experience on a variety of schemes that will see further opportunities open up in both the short and long-term.

Skills and Experience

As Project Quantity Surveyor you will need a good working knowledge of either JCT or NEC forms of contract. Duties will include subcontract procurement and subcontract payments, ensuring that interim valuations are accurately checked with a keen eye on any potential costs to ensure that budget is not exceeded and reporting on any potential issues/concerns to your Managing/Senior Surveyor as soon as possible.

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially aware and meticulous in all your workings, be computer literate and have strong organisational skills with the ability to support junior team members as and when necessary.

You will need:

*Main contractor experience
*Experience of working in a similar role previously
*The ability to travel as and when needed is essential
*A good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC
*HNC / HND or Degree qualified
