A newly created role working as part of the team on a circa £45m project with real progression opportunities to Senior QS in the next 12-18 months.


The Opportunity

Working on this project you will be responsible for a large section of work valued a circa £20m supporting the onsite Senior Quantity Surveyor. The project, a major city centre design and build, mixed use development starting onsite shortly and running for the next two years. A busy region which currently has six live jobs and five more being negotiated as well as a new city centre regional office right in the heart of Manchester. The overall business is tremendously successful nationally and has a turnover in excess of £600m and has a strong culture of recognition for performance both through promotion and fiercely competitive salaries. You will be seeking a clear route to the next level, Senior QS taking a more autonomous role as a commercial lead on you own projects.


Skills and Experience

You will be a proven Quantity Surveyor that has worked on major design and build contracts and it is a given that you are well versed in all the main aspects of quantity surveying. What our client is really looking for is the ability to manage the commercial processes supporting the onsite commercial lead to achieving strong performance. This is a strong career move for an aspirational individual who is looking to manager their own major projects in the near future.
