Newly created Senior Estimator requirement - £55,000 to £60,000 plus car/allowance and package

Working with a leading regional contractor for the Midlands region who have shown strong and stable year on year growth. This roles has been created due to ongoing success and a heavy workload which has made it necessary to add to the established team. This role will see you working on projects from £5m to £25m with project including industrial, care homes, commercial offices, retail and fit out.

With in the team you would be working closely with the Managing Director and head of purchasing, pricing 3 or 4 project at one time. Due to long term successful relationships and repeat business many of the project being priced will not but subject to a bid process and instead will be a 1 on 1 negotiation with the end client.

Skills and Experience

Our client is interested in speaking with experienced estimators who come from a stable main contractor background. They are looking for individuals who are passionate about the construction industry and share there core values of providing the highest quality and service to its clients. This role will be suited to a confident and autonomous individual who has a proven and successful track record and is looking for a stable and expanding contractor who has an excellent record or staff retention and long term service.

-The ability to balance multiple proposals and estimations at once
-Interpret drawings and bills of quantities
-Contact suppliers for prices of materials and products
-Generate quotations and populate spreadsheets with prices
-Liaise with sales team regarding details and submissions
-Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
-Good writing and maths skills
-Proficient IT skills
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a busy environment
-Positive attitude and a drive to secure work
