Senior Quantity Surveyor- Regional Main Contractor - North West - New opportunity available due to an increased and growing workload

Having a strong reputation in the North West for delivering projects on time and to a high standard, this established contractor is looking to further expand their existing North West team.

The Opportunity

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a company that has been trading in excess of 100 years and who continue to show stable grow year on year through structured expansion. Known for winning repeat business from sectors including Commercial, Education, Health, Residential and Sports & Leisure you will working within a team that are currently reviewing a number of tenders and with further projects due to commence shortly, this is an opportunity to join a brand that is recognised and known for its staff retention.

Role & Responsibilities

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will either be reporting to a Managing Surveyor or Commercial Director. Your duties will include procurement, management and payment of sub-contractors, variations, interim payments, client management, compiling monthly CVR's, and settling final accounts and general contract admin. You must be able to work independently, under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You will need to take responsibility for the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial and financial elements of projects, maximising profitability and protect the company's legal and contractual obligations whilst proactively controlling all commercial issues. The ability to develop and lead a team is essential.

Skills and Experience

*Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC in Construction
*Ideally from a main contractor background
*Experience of working in a similar role
*The ability to work as part of a team
*Computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills
*Ideally hold a current CSCS card although not essential
