Senior Quantity Surveyor - Manchester - National Main Contractor working on both pre-construction and on live projects up to circa £40m+

Due to further growth and project awards, a new position has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established team working on projects circa £30m. This is an opportunity to join a company that has already secured their turnover for 2019 and are in an excellent position for attaining their growth expectation in 2020.

The Opportunity

As Senior Quantity Surveyor reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be joining a company that believes in supporting and developing their Team and who promote their more Senior Managers to help mentor more junior team members providing support and advice wherever possible.

Working closely with the onsite team you will be looking after all commercial aspects of the project which will include, amongst other duties, accurate costing and preparation of budgets, subcontract procurement, subcontract payments, final accounts and Cost Value Reports. This role would suit and ambitious individual who is happy working as part of a team or in an autonomous role.

With projects on site and/or due to start on site shortly, the sectors you could be working on include Commercial, Leisure, Education and PRS schemes.

Skills and Experience

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially aware and meticulous in all your workings, have good people management skills with the ability to support and nurture more junior team members as and when necessary.

Experience of working on two stage tenders is preferred and you will need a good knowledge of D&B JCT or NEC Forms of Contract.
