Senior Quantity Surveyor - Working for a National Tier 1 Main Contractor, this role will see you taking the lead on projects up to circa £55m+

The Opportunity

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will initially be leading projects up to circa £55m+ within the North West that could include education, residential, commercial, leisure and health. This is an opportunity to join a company that has already secured a large part of their turnover and are in an excellent position for maintaining their growth expectation in 2021/2022.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor reporting to a visiting Commercial Manager and/or Commercial Director, you will be responsible for looking after all commercial aspects of the project which may include; analysing/selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation and finalise subcontract orders, financial and commercial management of subcontracts to Final Account completion. You will maintain site records, preparation of forecasts, targets and CV reconciliations, and manage all risk/opportunities.

Skills and Experience

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially aware and meticulous in all your workings, have good people management skills with the ability to support and nurture more junior team members as and when necessary.

*Have proven experience of having worked in a similar role previously.
*Be able to demonstrate and have clear written and verbal communication skills.
*Demonstrate ownership / commercial awareness.
*A good knowledge of JCT 2016 D&B
*Degree qualified
