Senior Quantity Surveyor - Working for a National Tier 1 Main Contractor, this role will see you taking a developing a strong team on projects up to circa £70m+

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Commercial Manager as Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with a small team of Surveyors managing packages £10m - £15m on a project circa £65-70m. These projects can include education, residential, commercial, leisure and health, this is an opportunity to join a company that has already secured turnover for 2022 and are in an excellent position for maintaining their growth expectation in 2022/2023

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for looking after all commercial aspects of the project which may include analysing and selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation and finalisation of subcontract orders, financial and commercial management of subcontracts to Final Account preparation, submission and agreement. You will maintain site records, preparation of forecasts, targets, cost value reconciliations and manage all risks/opportunities.

Skills and Experience

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially aware and meticulous in all your workings, have good people management skills with the ability to support and nurture more junior team members as and when necessary.

*Have proven experience of having worked in a similar role previously.
*Be able to demonstrate and have clear written and verbal communication skills.
*Demonstrate ownership / commercial awareness
*Effective time management and organisational skills
*A good knowledge of JCT 2016 D&B
*Degree qualified
*Current CSCS card
