Joining this thriving main contractor, you will be working as a key element in the pre-construction and bid process including concept stages. Working on projects from £5m to £50m including high rise private residential, education, commercial, leisure and heritage projects. Skills & Experience
We are looking for an experienced professional Cost Planner or Senior Estimator with a strong knowledge of bid process, supplier, subcontractor and document management.
Key duties will include:
-Preparation of cost analyses from available project information including historical completed projects for use in cost planning
-Monitoring all stages of PCSA periods to ensure costs are regularly compared with original forecasts
-Engagement with the supply chain to support development of robust cost plans
-Using cost plans to provide early stage advice on projects
-Review and agree best procurement routes for each work package, i.e. specification and drawing, CDP elements, fixed price lump sum and schedule of quantities
-Attending meeting with the estimating team to hand over final cost plan in preparation of tender enquirers and procurement
A successful candidate will be able to show excellent written and verbal communications skills a positive and engaging approach who is able to work well with in a team supporting and education those around them.
